Welcome Ms. Meredith Brawner

Please welcome Ms. Meredith Brawner as the new campus director of Bob Hope Elementary School in Port Arthur.
Meredith has lived in Port Neches for the past 24 years. She received her bachelor’s degree and her master's degree from Lamar University in Beaumont. She was the Assistant Principal with Bridge City Intermediate School for 4 ½ years and was then the Interim Principal for a ½ year. She says that what she likes most about working for Bog Hope School is the opportunities we give to our students – language immersion, music, and fine arts.
Her goals as the new campus director is primarily for student success. She says she wants to make sure to equip the staff with trainings, materials, and support so that they can help the students exceed the goals and expectations in place for them; providing opportunities for parent involvement, and giving the students quality instruction and support for academic success.
She says that BHES has many opportunities for our student to enjoy! They have fun family days planned for this school year, Red Ribbon week activities, National School Choice Week activities, and so much more. They have STEM instruction coming with one of their community partners so the students can learn more about Science-Technology-Engineering-Mathematics.
Outside of school, Ms. Brawner is the Contemporary Worship Coordinator for Wesley UMC in Nederland where she plays the keyboard, guitar, and sings. She is also on the Board of Directors for the Port Arthur Little Theater ad participates in productions. She will have her directorial debut this fall. She says that she loves attending events that her children are involved in, including soccer games and band concerts.
