Elementary Counseling

Bob Hope Elementary provides W.I.N.G.S. to help our students soar.
Our W.I.N.G.S. program stands for Weekly Instruction Nurturing Growth & Success. This weekly time is spent with the school counselor as a class discussing and learning about academic success, personal and social development and career exploration. At Bob Hope Elementary we feel this time is necessary to help our students reach their full potential as fully functioning, well-rounded adults.

  • Weekly classroom counseling lessons.
    • W.I.N.G.S.
  • Small group counseling lessons
  • Short term individual counseling

Counseling lessons will be based off of the three domains of: Academic success, personal/social well-being, and career development.

Meet the Counselor

Hello, my name is Mrs. Briggs and I am excited to join the Bob Hope Elementary team as the School Counselor. This is my third year as a school counselor and I have enjoyed every minute. My family and I recently relocated back to Texas from the state of Missouri where I earned my Master’s in Guidance and Counseling from Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri.

I have been married going on six years and my husband and I have two boys, one is three the other just turned one. We are excited to be back in Texas and closer to our families.

Being a School Counselor is truly a passion. I love working with children, cooperating with my co-workers, and focusing on finding solutions to help everyone; especially our students.

Thank you for the opportunity to work with your children. If you have any questions or concerns please never hesitate to contact me via e-mail at
